Justas he’s cornered by a group of rogue samurai in a life-or-death situation, the one who saves this pathetic Hijikata is none other than the Shinsengumi’s tactician, Ito Kamotaro, who has finally returned to Edo after completing a long-awaited mission. Kamotaro comes back bearing the latest weapons and prized swords as souvenirs, receiving a grand welcome from Commander Kondo. His accomplishments are highly praised, and he gradually begins rising in prominence within the Shinsengumi.
