It was recorded live in The Golders Green Hippodrome, London, on 27 October 1977 and contains tracks recorded by the band with their former singer, Bon Scott. Thin Lizzy - Live at the National Stadium Dublin(en)

This DVD is a treasure trove for Thin Lizzy fans, compiled from content from broadcaster RTE in the band’s native Ireland which has never before been released on home video. The first “Metal Meltdown” concert series event kicked off at The Joint at the world famous Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas on May 30, 2015. The show was dedicated to the honor of Twisted Sister’s iconic drummer, A.J. Pero, whose tragic, sudden death just two months prior to the filming of this event shocked the music world. The band announced that not only were all the remaining concerts being performed in 2015 dedicated to the memory of A.J. The Tragically Hip - A National Celebration(en)

When it was announced in May of 2016 that lead singer Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, the band decided that they would do one final run of 15 dates across Canada. A National Celebration was the final show of the Tragically Hip's Man Machine Poem Tour recorded on August 20th, 2016 at the K-Rock Centre in their home town of Kingston Ontario. Originally aired live by CBC across all platforms, the concert was experienced by an estimated one-third of Canadians, among the biggest events in the country's broadcast history.
