Relationerna mellan människorna i det lilla samhället sätts verkligen på prov i den sista delen av trilogin Småstadsliv. Den ryggskadade grävmaskinisten Ingemar behöver semester, men vad som var tänkt att bli en fridfull husvagnsidyll i den svenska sommaren förvandlas snart till ett campinginferno utan motstycke i svensk semesterhistoria.Bland älgpassen i storskogen tvingar länsstyrelsens vargpolitik och myndigheternas förföljelse det lilla jaktlaget till ett övertramp mot de gråa pälsdjuren som ingen kunnat drömma om. När krutröken har lagt sig är ingenting i jaktlaget sig likt.Både gamla bekantingar och nya ansikten finns med i handlingen när småstadslivsgänget för tredje och sista gången drar med sig tittaren längst ut på den hälsingska landsbygden. I en intrig späckad av kärlek och svek, rosor och älgstudsare får tittaren möta en värld, bland människor som ingen trodde fanns…
