He has turned his obsession into a profession and works in the security department of a Stuttgart-based food company; ever since he had the employees' access cards fitted with tracking chips, his colleagues have seen him as nothing more than the "Stasi bridge man". Lea dropped out of her degree in food chemistry, is currently working in the company canteen and dreams of driving around in a food truck. She is currently using the old Mercedes bus, a former fire engine that now bears the lettering "Brand Herd", as her accommodation. Two such opposites would never cross paths in real life. In the movie, they can become true love, provided Simon lets himself be kissed awake.
