Jay, Mia, and Pitar were three friends who loved exploring the beauty of nature, especially during the autumn season. Their story unfolds over three special journeys, each capturing the warmth of friendship and the beauty of autumn. Their first journey took Jay and Mia to Frensham Great Pond, a beloved spot surrounded by vibrant autumn trees. As they walked along the water's edge, the cool breeze and golden leaves filled them with joy. They laughed, skipped stones, and admired the reflections of amber and red across the pond. For their second adventure, Pitar joined Jay and Mia at Sandy Hill in Aldershot, one of the highest points in the area. From the top, they could see all of Aldershot and even Farnborough in the distance. Standing above it all, they felt a deep sense of freedom and awe as they looked out at the rolling autumn landscape below. Their third journey led them to Tice's Meadow Nature Reserve in Surrey. This piece documents the process behind the creation of Holt's major public art installation, Dark Star Park, in Arlington, Virginia. The park, which features giant concrete spheres and pipes, allows the visitor to reconsider the experience of space, earth and sky within an urban context. It also serves as a kind of contemporary Stonehenge: once a year, on August 1 at 9:30 am, the shadows of the objects exactly align with outlines on the ground. Interviews with the artist, the architects, engineers, contractors, and the public, among others, reveal Dark Star Park as both a public sculpture and a functioning park that reclaims a blighted urban environment.

In the wake of a Supreme Court decision to outlaw the death penalty, California passes an initiative that designates San Bruno island as a dumping spot for first-degree murder convicts, free to do what they like except leave. The main camp of convicts is controlled by the tyrannical Bobby, who rules with an iron hand, and the women are used as sex slaves. A.J. and a group of more free-minded murderers have escaped and gone into hiding. When A.J. and his men liberate the women from Bobby's custody, tensions mount to an all-out confrontation for control of the island.

Made in Japan was recorded live over three nights during 15–17 August 1972 at Festival Hall, Osaka and at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan. Four of the tracks come from the album Machine Head which had been released earlier that year. The album was at first seen as somewhat unimportant by the band members, and only Roger Glover and Ian Paice showed up to mix it. The release in the US was delayed, until April 1973, because Warner Bros. wanted to release Who Do We Think We Are first. The three concerts recorded were later released as Live in Japan 3-CD box set (1993). According to the liner notes for that set, unlike many live albums, there are no overdubs or studio additions to the original album.
Lev Sergeyevich Theremin was a pioneering Russian inventor whose eponymous instrument, the thereminvox, revolutionized electronic music; between 1928 and 1938 he enjoyed triumphs in America - sold-out concerts, mass production of his instrument, and high society acclaim - before the Wall Street crash, personal upheavals, and waning fame led to his enigmatic 1938 return to the USSR. Against all expectations, after surviving Stalin’s notorious Magadan labor camp, he resumed work for Soviet secret services and lived on until 1993, passing away at the age of 97.
