This is Andreas Vitasek: poetic, cheerful, and a little devious. In what is perhaps his most personal program, Kurzzugende oder Ich war auch einmal so wie Sie, naja (1997). It's about the nature of happiness, claustrophobia in elevators, the art of cooking beef soup, impossible love and the possible consequences of trivial decisions, fame, alcohol, money, and gender confusion. In other words, all things human, served up indirectly and slyly.

His lifestyle is gradually disturbed, when his parents show up for a visit, things go awry with Katrin and his best friend Karl starts to act strange. Meanwhile, political turmoil mounts on the other side of the Wall.
