Drag Me: A Urban Music Tale(en)

“Drag Me” is a wandering through the sleazy, dark backstreets of Metropolis – which is Athens here, but it could be as well anything from New York to… Gotham – under the disturbingly dirty and distorted sounds of “the You and What Army fACTION”, that seem to derive directly from the filthy guts of the city. In this wandering we follow the main character – a deadly girl with a violent and disturbed response to the emotional paranoia and alienation that the “concrete jungle” can generate. The lumpen characters and the rest “strays of the streets” that she runs into, the street art and the trash, become part of the set, composing a haunted picture of the modern “ghost town”.

A Very Goth Christmas Story(en)

A Very Goth Christmas Story is a horror machinima by Alvin Soprano, set in the world of The Sims 2. The film takes place on Christmas morning in the Goth household shortly after Bella Goth’s mysterious disappearance. It follows Mortimer Goth as he deals with grief, suspicion, and a chilling surprise. On this cold and lonely Christmas, Mortimer wakes up to find a mysterious package left at the front door. With Bella gone and no answers in sight, the gift raises questions — and dread. The story builds tension as Mortimer struggles with loss and the strange presence of Dina Caliente, his mistress. The film’s shocking climax reveals that the package contains Bella’s severed head, sent as a deadly message from Dina, exposing a dark and twisted betrayal within the family.

Dirty John: The Dirty Truth(en)

John Meehan created a terrifying trap of seduction, deceit and betrayal for countless victims. The illuminating revelations into his backstory showcase a series of events that flipped switches to create a monster wired for psychopathy. Goffard exposes John’s troubled background that built the foundation for his ominous fantasy world of lies and manipulation. In addition to hearing the Newell family’s terrifying tale, John’s first wife Tonia Bales and her daughters Emily and Abigail Meehan speak out, along with other women from his past who were caught in his web of lies.

Filmed April 12, 2003 at a benefit concert held at and for The Anthology Film Archives, the international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of avant-garde and independent cinema. In addition to screening films for the public, AFA houses a film museum, research library and art gallery. The event, which raised money for the Archives and celebrated the life and work of avant-garde film maker Stan Brakhage, featured Sonic Youth providing an improvised instrumental collaboration with silent Brakhage’s films. The band performed with drummer/percussionist Tim Barnes (Essex Green, Jukeboxer, Silver Jews).

After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker uses his new powers to locate and catch the killer of his beloved Uncle Ben. First of the three short films made by "The Trauma Group" (Naxo Fiol, Chema Ponze, Gabi Tintorer) on the Marvel character between 1993 and 1996. This is the first film made in Spain, shot without more budget than the spent in the costume of the hero (60,000 pesetas of 1993) and shot with a video-8 camera of the time, so the image and the sound, together with the passage of time make the quality of both very poor. Halfway between the experimental, psychotronic cinema and avant-garde cinema, it´s a very extravagant version of the character, softened in the second incursion of the Trauma Group in the character: "Peter Parker is Spider-Man" (1996), closer than this to the original comic.
