Overview:
Joseph's world plunges into darkness when he defies a fortune-teller's prophecy and asks May to marry him. May dies and Joseph tries in vain to contact her in the afterlife, invoking instead the ghost of a comatose man who was with May the day she died as well as several other spirits that lurk constantly in the darkest recesses of our surroundings.
