Overview

Ali a port worker, and Hossam, a head worker, propose to Goli, the daughter of Mesh Mohammad. Morteza, Hossam's nephew, who pretends to be friends with Ali, is also interested in Goli. Goli marries Ali away from her father's eyes, and Ali, according to a plan devised by Hossam and Morteza, engages in smuggling to earn a living and is pursued by the gendarmes. Ali escapes to Tehran and Goli follows him; but he cannot find him. Some time later, Ali returns to his hometown and proves his innocence, and at Mesh Mohammad's request, he goes to Tehran to find his wife. Ali's efforts are in vain.
