The film is a filmed portrait of the village of Saint-Loup-de-Varenne, a small village where the first photograph was taken by Nicéphore Niepce (Point de vue du Gras, 1827, Saint Loup-de-Varennes, 16.2 × 20 , 2 cm.) The film begins with a sunrise which will reveal the entire village.
