A piper offers to do the job, and successfully lures the rats into a mirage of cheese, which disappears. The citizens, disappointed that all he did was play a tune, offer only pocket change. The piper, angered, plays a new tune that has all the children of the city follow him, even the new twins the stork is preparing to deliver.

6.0Two Dutch children stumble on a clearing in the woods where gnomes are going about their business. The gnomes are friendly to the children. A witch comes and takes them away on her broom to her gingerbread house, where she turns nasty on them, turning the boy into a spider, her yowling cat to stone, and tries to turn the girl into a rat when a gnome's arrow stops her. While the gnomes are fighting the witch, Hansel and Gretl free the other children who have been imprisoned and transformed by the witch.
5.9When the mysterious Toy Taker grabs all of Santa's toys, it looks like the children will miss out on Christmas. But everyone's favorite reindeer, Rudolph, comes to the rescue with his lovable friends: Hermey the elf, Yukon Cornelius the grizzly prospector, the abominable snow monster Bumbles and Rudolph's very special friend Clarice. Together, they promise Santa they'll track down Toy Taker and rescue Santa's toy. Their incredible quest takes them on a wild adventure with Rudolph's red nose leading the way!
The king is comfortable and does not want to be ruled, so he announces a competition for inventors. He wants them to invent something that will make his reign easier. As a reward, the winner will get Princess Hedwig as his wife. The princess is unhappy and goes to complain to a young blacksmith. The inventors parade in front of the king and princess with nonsensical ideas, and everything culminates when one of them invents a clock that will extend the day by another 24 hours...
In the royal castle lives a haughty, parading and domineering princess. She torments the servants and perhaps would still be tormenting them with her whims if the mysterious Lord of the Wind with his magic crests had not appeared in the castle. A lascivious youth uses their charms to punish the proud princess and win the affections of a sweet girl.
8.0Peter stows away on a ship from Italy, and arrives in New York, pursued by the ship's captain. He is advised that he will find other Italians in Little Italy, so he goes there, where Gepetto takes him in, after he attempts to steal some food. He tries to be good, but gets in trouble for stealing, so Jimmy the pizza man has to show him the way and get him to school. He thinks he isn't important, so he tells tall tales, scratching his nose each time. He tells people that Gepetto is a big important politician, so people automatically want to support him, though Gepetto is not running for anything.
7.5Everything is ready for a big celebration in the forest clearing. The mischievous fairy Arnoštka should get married as soon as possible and as well as possible. But the fairy is more interested in the human world than in marriage and suitors. What could be behind this? Only the fairy Žofie understands her, because she knows about Arnoštka's secret love for Prince Adam. Arnoštka, on the other hand, doesn't worry about it – she elegantly breaks all the rules of fairy behavior and meets with the prince. Žofie thinks about how to help the two of them, the fairy Emilka is jealous, and the king is furious. But as it turns out in the end, he has no reason to be...

Determined to avoid marriage and instead sell the family farm and leave with his younger brother, he sets his would-be brides impossible tasks, and the very first challenge whittles the contenders down to just one: his stepsister Květa.
6.0Five-year-old Peter and his older brother Hans drop the Christmas present for their parents in the middle of the road and it gets flattened by a car. Deeply distressed, they go to a Christmas fair and buy a lottery ticket with their remaining money. To their delight, they win a washing machine! Peter is especially excited when Santa Claus shows up and promises to transport the machine for him, but the old man instead vanishes with the boys' gift. Hans is convinced that Peter has been conned and chases after the fleeing Santa. But Peter simply cannot believe that Santa Claus could be anything other than kind and helpful.
5.2In a godforsaken cave, a traveling journeyman fills his pockets with gold. Voita lost his father and mother in the war and is now seeking his fortune in the world. He got to the abyss at Gallows Mountain only by chance - or have mysterious powers led him there in this spooky stormy night? Suddenly, he notices a strange fellow among the treasures. The apparent ghost and custodian of this treasure chases away the young man, who still manages to secretly pocket a small, fateful lighter...
7.3Our story begins years later. A grand engagement is being planned in the kingdom. The prince has come of age. The time has come for him to marry the daughter of a neighboring country. An ancient royal promise must be fulfilled! However, the prince has little desire to marry. He is more interested in the surrounding forests, the stream, the birds, and above all, freedom, than in court etiquette and his own wedding. The young man does not change his behavior even when the beautiful princess arrives at the king's invitation. However, she soon realizes that she and the prince are not suited to each other. They only agree on one thing—they both want to defy the king's promise. But how?
7.6A greedy King Midas is visited one day by a mysterious visitor who grants him the ability to turn all things he touches to gold. He learns his lesson when the food he tries to eat and his own daughter are turned to gold as well. The visitor reappears and offers him the opportunity to return to his old self, which he gladly does. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2004.
5.4The sick King Jorgen worries about the marriage of his daughter Elena. The fairytale-like, dramatic confusion triggers a shimmering golden fire bird with its wondrous song every full moon night - it makes the king heal and brings the "good" prince as husband of the "good" Princess Elena.
6.2The merchant's daughter Constanze, begs her father to ask a lion for a favor. Her father approaches the lion who agrees to his request with one condition: that he send the first person he meets upon his return home to the lion's den. It is Constanze. Against her father's will she goes to the lion and discovers that he is an enchanged prince and that only a woman's love can release him from the spell.
7.012-year-old Jakob helps out at his mother's vegetable stand and also carries customers' purchased goods home. One day, an old woman with a long nose comes to the stand and claims that the herbs are bad and were better 50 years ago. Jakob is upset that she holds all the herbs to her nose and crushes them: "Take it away from your long nose!" he shouts and hits her hand. "Don't you like it, my beautiful long nose?" the woman scoffs, "You should have one too, even longer than mine." Finally, she buys some cabbages, which she wants Jakob to carry home for her. Jakob resists but is persuaded by his mother. Other market women whisper whether the old woman is not the evil fairy Kräuterweis.
7.1The film was directed by Giuliano Cenci with assistance from his brother Renzo. During production, Carlo Collodis grandchildren Mario and Antonio Lorenzini were consulted. The subtle movements made by fidgeting children whilst speaking or under scrutiny were incorporated into Pinocchios movements, particularly when he lies to the Fairy with the Turquoise Hair over the fate of his gold coins. For the design of the Fairy, Italian portrayals of the Blessed Virgin Mary in art were used as starting points.
