Trained for a career in opera, Lanza became the first true crossover artist when MGM made him a matinee idol during the 1950's with box office hits such as 'The Toast of New Orleans' and 'The Great Caruso'. With his unique blend of both classical and popular music, Lanza's recordings of 'The Loveliest Night of the Year', 'Beloved' and his signature ballad, 'Be My Love' sold in their millions. But within 10 years, the star that glowed so brightly burned itself out - and Lanza's sudden death in 1959 at the age of 38 was the first tragic death of the modern pop and rock era.

Tsai Chin unveils her music universe once more. The veteran Taiwanese chanteuse who has been active on the music scene for a quarter century performed some of her best loved songs live at Hong Kong's Coliseum during January 24-28, 2007. Now the live recording of this memorable concert is available as Blu-ray karaoke disc. Tsai devotees will be pleased to find such classics as "When Will You Return" (Track 33), "Evening Fragrance" (Track 7), and "Kiss Me" (Track 8) on this 34-track release. She also performs "Honey Sweet" (Track 19) and "Moon Representing My Heart" (Track 20) originally performed by Teresa Tang. The story of the Talking Light piece is basically that of an older man who questions, not only decisions he made as a teenager, but also if the events he remembers from that time happened at all. "A dead infant clutching a ring with an inscription the teenager cannot read" is the stuff of dreams. The following stories in the show may or may not shed light on the inscription. Questions remain unanswered. The Residents study death, not as a horrific end, but as the ultimate question that we all ask while wondering if any of it is even real.
