Gladiatorial arenas are commonplace, designed to help with overpopulation and unemployment, promising major rewards. As a mysterious fungal outbreak rips through the globe, the world is flipped upside down as friends quickly become ravenous scourge. The story follows a mysterious leader nicknamed ‘Top Trooper’ and his mission to guide a safe zone on its daily struggle against starvation, scourge, and a mysterious syndicate which slowly reveals itself more and more. As time progresses it becomes apparent that there is something extremely strange and dangerous looming behind the scenes.

Stop-motion animation on the arranging of marriages in 1950/60s set in the Eastern-Polish borderland. The script is based on a part of Mikołaj Smyk's diary, the director's grandfather. The biographical objects used in the animation, such as an authentic headscarf, Polish and Russian books, the copy of Mikołaj Smyk's diary and photographs help situate the story in its original environment.

Greedy elder brother Nolbu kicks his good-natured brother Heungbu out of home and takes all the inheritance from their father. Poor but good man Heungbu one day cures a swallow's broken leg and frees it to fly away. Next year, the swallow comes to Heungbu's and gives him a gourd seed. He plants the seed and split it in fall. A huge amount of gold, silver and gems come out of the gourd, and he becomes rich over a night. Nolbu gets green with envy of him.
