The architect and artist Bryan Cyril Thurston campaigned for 20 years with his art against a reservoir on this magnificent plateau. At the time, his saying "only poetry can save the Greina" seemed rather abstruse to his son. But today he finds an unexpected strength in it. Everyone wants beauty!
