He is faced with seniority, power plays, sexual harrasment, and faces many tough challanges in the industry. However, with great will, Danny succeeds in fulfilling his dream of becoming a famous movie director. However, his time in spotlight is only a brief moment, as Danny dies from overwork and sickness just after he achieves the prime success of his life.
