
"Âme Cœur" tells the story of Shayna, who spends her first four years in an orphanage in South Africa. Later, she is adopted by Veer, a 50-year-old widower of Mauritian origin living in Johannesburg. Shayna, an artist devoted to painting, writing, and social projects, sees her life take a drastic turn when she suffers a stroke after a music and dance performance. Plunged into a coma for several days at the clinic, she is eventually taken off life support following Veer's traumatic decision, with the support of Dr. Jimmie.
