Wren Wriggly is an overwhelmed freshman in high school hoping to spend her summer indoors, counting the minutes until being fully clothed is back in season. When Wren is dragged out of the house to spend her summer days at the community pool, she is consumed with the anxieties of having to wear a swimsuit, unsure why she doesn't look like the other girls. Then, an unlikely figure suddenly comes alive to shake up the summer and teach Wren how to become "beautiful." Will Wren follow the advice of her new perfectly plastic best friend? Or will she resist the call to change and learn to love herself for who she is?
