Their highest peak, Mont Blanc, is surrounded by long, soaring mountains with ice-covered slopes. The incredible diversity of landscapes, flora and fauna makes the Alps a unique natural treasure at the heart of Europe.

On the slopes of the volcanoes, in the fog of the fumaroles and on streams and rivers, the three researchers explore how the first forms of life populated the earth's surface and in what evolutionary steps they took over the earth.

The Line 5 pipeline has been operating on 12 miles of the Bad River Band's land with expired easements for more than a decade. The Band and the Canadian company have been locked in a legal battle over the pipeline since 2019.
