Overview:
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is an activist organization of queer, self-proclaimed male nuns who use drag, religious iconography and street performance to protest homophobia, hatred and promote joy. This short film features interviews from Sister Hysterectoria, Sister Tootsie Tits, Sister Rosetta Stoned and Sister Gladiola Gladrags. Combined with archival footage and difficult-to-stomach audio recordings of anti-queer rhetoric, Zinser presents a tapestry of the emotional liberation provided to those who have joined the sisterhood.
