

My Wife's Suitor(1959)
The jobless Somaa is happily married to Lola. He finds a job as a secretary at a fashion house owned by the spinster Howayda, who lives with her brother Fawzy. But as the job requires that the secretary be single, Somaa claims he is. When Lola finds out, she asks Somaa to quit, but he refuses, so she starts working as a model for Howayda, whereupon Fawzy falls for Lola and proposes to her.

Chaplin's romantic interest in this film, Minta Durfee, was the wife of fellow Keystone actor, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle.

Although only a dental assistant, Charlie pretends to be the dentist. After receiving too much anesthesia, a patient can't stop laughing, so Charlie knocks him out with a club.

Mabel's Busy Day(en)
Mabel tries to sell hot dogs at a car race, but isn't doing a very good job at it. She sets down the box of hot dogs and leaves them for a moment. Charlie finds them and gives them away to the hungry spectators at the track as Mabel frantically tries to find her lost box of hot dogs. Mabel finds out that Charlie has stolen them and sends the police after him. Chaos ensues.

No Days Off for Death” is a film that depicts an altered rendition of our own world to explore themes of grief and over corporatisation, the narrative takes place from two perspectives that ultimately come together; one of a nameless Grim Reaper (only referred to as “Death”) who only wants to take a long overdue holiday from their endless mundane work in the corporate underworld and a grieving man (Max) contemplating committing suicide after a breakup leaves him at the end of his rope. When Death is sent on a job to see that Max goes through with his plan, they decided to try and convince Max to keep on living, an altruistic act Max reluctantly engages with even if death just wants their holiday.

Happily married for three years, Ann and David Smith live in New York. One morning Ann asks David if he had to do it over again, would he marry her? To her shock, he answers, "No". Later that day, they separately discover that, due to a legal complication, they are not legally married.

In the midst of a performance, Danny spies Ellen Miller who ends up being made band manager. Both men compete for her affections while trying to get the other one fired.
