Daria is getting married, and Antonio is the best man. They are two artists who have lived in the same building for years, but now she’s moving to another neighborhood. They get to work on a new project inspired by Federico Fellini’s Ginger and Fred, and bring in Emanuele, Monica, Francesco, Martina, and Andrea. First, tap dancing classes, as the script comes together one day at a time, with rehearsals in Rome, Rimini and France, in theaters shut down by Covid-19. Euphoria is running high, despite the uncertain times, and our theater troupe starts to resemble a gaggle of shipwreck survivors, bewildered by the way real life gets confounded with what is tentatively shaping up as the stage production.

The plot centers on Bell's relationship with a father-less handicapped boy, and his efforts to be a big brother to him. The boy ends up being an inspiration for Bell when his disease makes the athlete more afflicted than the boy.

The subjects Triangle and Fourangle are suffering from up and downs and would like to get rid of their Queen. The child tries to keep the story going, the father would like to end it. Finally the child manages to fall asleep.

The film is a portrait of Jerzy Orłowski, an armless graphic artist. Even the simplest activity requires struggle, resilience and outstanding fitness from him. Many takes are in slow motion, contemplating the smallest detail, which the director is so skilfully able to bring out.
