The Horne Section Television Programme (en)

One half of Dave's own Taskmaster - Alex Horne - has a side career: he's the leader of a band called The Horne Section. They've already performed with some of the biggest names in music and comedy and now they've scored their very own two-hour special featuring Alex and the band's spontaneous and free-wheeling combination of live music and comedy. Recorded at the London Palladium, the jazz/comedy hybrid features guest performances from Nadine Coyle, Sue Perkins, Sara Pascoe and Joe Wilkinson.

Convoy (en)

Convoy is a 13-episode American television show set during World War II that appeared on NBC for the 1965–1966 television season. The series starred John Gavin as Commander Dan Talbot of the US Navy destroyer escort "DD181" and John Larch as civilian merchant Captain Ben Foster of the cargo ship "Flagship", who were involved with the convoy ships and their escorts that help to transport food, supplies and war materials across the Atlantic during the Battle of the Atlantic. The series also featured Linden Chiles as Steve Kirk and James T. Callahan, formerly of ABC's Wendy and Me sitcom, in the role of Lieutenant O'Connell. Among the guest stars were Dennis Hopper, Jack Palance, Barbara Rush, James Doohan, Leslie Nielsen, Horst Ebersberg, Harold Gould, and Jeremy Slate. Convoy was one of the last NBC series in black and white; the use of stock footage made color impossible. As a result, several NBC affiliates refused to clear the program, which consequently failed to climb out of the 'bottom 10' in the Nielsen ratings. The program premiered on September 17, 1965, and the last episode aired on December 10.

A bizarre mix of chat show and performance art, as comedy star Vic Reeves allowed guests a rare opportunity to delve into his mind and examine the contents... Guests were invited to talk about obscure subjects like ‘cutlery’ and in the process analyze Vic’s original art work, study relevant props and artifacts, and spend time with the studio rabbit. Guests included Johnny Vegas, Ricky Gervais and, Bill Oddie.

WWF Mania is a professional wrestling television program produced by the World Wrestling Federation. It aired on Saturday mornings on the USA Network between 1993 and 1996 and summarized the weekly events in WWF programming. In its earlier years, Mania usually featured a show exclusive wrestling match. For roughly the first year of its run, Mania also took viewer calls live and only viewers in the Eastern and Central time zones could participate in that portion of the show.

Starlight was an early British television programme, one of the first regular series to be broadcast by the BBC Television Service during the 1930s. Its first edition was broadcast on 3 November 1936 – the day after the service had officially begun – and it continued to be broadcast until the suspension of television for the duration of the Second World War during 1939. After the resumption of BBC television during 1946, Starlight was one of the few pre-war programmes to be reinstated, and it was broadcast for a further three years until 1949. A variety show, the programmes would feature comedians, singers, dancers and various other entertainment acts. One notable edition of the 1930s gave popular singer Gracie Fields her first ever television appearance. As with all other BBC programmes of the time, Starlight was transmitted live from the studios at Alexandra Palace. The shows were not recorded, and no material other than still photographs exists for the series now.
