Cowboys and Outlaws is a documentary series on The History Channel that details key figures and events in the history of the American West in the latter half of the 19th century. It uses dramatic reenactments, historian interviews and forensic evidence to highlight famous figures such as Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp and Tom Horn. It also covers historical events such as the first drive along the Goodnight-Loving Trail and the transformation of Abilene, Kansas from a small settlement into a major cattle town. As of February, 2010, only six episodes have aired. A DVD collection was released on January 26, 2010.

It chronicles the lives of the cast as they endure the realities of living in new surroundings and face new situations involving work, friendship, romance, and lifestyle. It also includes the drama that develops between cast members as they undergo various experiences.

And if that was not enough, Gou also has to deal with his triplet older sisters, Kazuki, Yuhki and Saki — a girl group, when not working on their daytime jobs. Gou and Rane's treasure hunt messes with a secret project led by Mari's father though, and it turns out Salamander is not what Gou thought it was in the first place...

The last time the program was sent on Norwegian television, TV3, was in December of 2012. TV3 and the production company, Rakett Film & TV, have just released information about an upcoming season of the series.
