The short film “Notes On Her” inspired by Mahashweta devi's 'DRAUPADI AND BASHAI TUDU'. - is about a journalist’s memory of a rebel called Dopdi who never seems to die. It’s an experimental film not following a strict narrative structure and is highly visual with a complimenting sound track which enhances the film’s dark atmosphere. The film was shot in black and white and printed on color to achieve the dark, high contrast, gritty images.

Singh is a farmer and lives a poor lifestyle along with his wife, and two sons, Ram and Laksman. An enraged Ram goes to avenge his death, manages to kill Vikram's brother, but is seriously injured, loses his memory and ends up with a gang of bandits and is renamed Thanedar Singh as he was dressed in the clothes of a police inspector. Lakshman gets separated from his mother and is found near a river bank by Police Commissioner Bhalla, who adopts him. Years later the two brothers are fated to meet again albeit as strangers and mortal enemies as Lakshman is a incognito CBI Officer, while Ram is dreaded bandit Thanedar Singh who is unable to recall his childhood, and loses control whenever he hears the sound of a water-pump.

Concerned over the rising death of low-caste people in a remote town in India, the Central Bureau of Investigation assigns this task to Inspector Ravi Kapoor and instructs him to go incognito to investigate these deaths. Upon arrival, Ravi is received by Collector Rahu Nath, to whom Ravi introduces himself as a Horticulturist. Thereafter Ravi lives in a small house that was owned by a man named Mohandas, who had died under mysterious circumstances. Mohandas' children, Tulsi and her brother live there now. Ravi and Tulsi fall in love with each other, Ravi offers them all possible protection if Tulsi and her brother help him with the investigation, to which Tulsi agrees. Before Ravi could take any steps he is arrested by the local Police Inspector Thakur and lodged in a cell. And the only way he can get out by revealing his identity - which can seriously jeopardize the entire investigation.

Then he had to pay another bribe so that his son could successfully pass his college examination, and go on to join the Bombay Police Force. Finally, he withheld an important municipal license for businessman Sampat, in order to get his consent to marry his advocate daughter, Kamini, with his son.
