Silas was a 1981 ZDF Adventure TV mini-series based on the Danish children's book „Silas og den sorte hoppe“ by Cecil Bødker who kept on writing instalments until 2001. The series was Patrick Bach's debut and because the series did so well he also starred the very next year in another adventure series about a young orphan: Jack Holborn Silas was a German production and filmed solely in German. Still it received attention beyond German-speaking countries and consequently the successor Jack Holborn involved international producers and was filmed in English.

Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island! is a Saturday morning children's show that aired on Kids' WB in the United States, from September 17, 2005 to May 27, 2006. The show was produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island takes place on an island inhabited exclusively by fruit. The residents enjoy their own tropical paradise without a care in the world; they must share their peaceful utopia with the joyfully strange Coconut Fred, a whimsical, blissfully foolish coconut with the special ability to materialize anything he thinks about. The plot revolves around the adventures of Fred and his friends, as his boundless imagination springs to life while his friends struggle to cover up the collateral.

Poochini's Yard (en)

Poochini's Yard is an animated children's television series which originally aired globally in 2000, but was not shown in the United States for the first time until September 1, 2002. The series follows the life of a dog named Poochini who runs away from home, gets captured by the dog pound and is adopted by an average American family after its rich owner dies. Though it was created and co-produced by San Francisco-based entertainment company Wild Brain, Poochini was not shown in the United States for over two years after its production. The Christmas Tree and Coffee Dog are available on video and DVD. Co-produced, and internationally distributed, by Munich-based media group EM.TV, Poochini was based on the award-winning short A Dog Cartoon. The series had just 26 episodes with the last one airing in the United States on March 1, 2003. It was directed by Dave Marshall and Dave Thomas.
