Descending Stories: A Life In Rakugo (ja)

Set during the early Showa period, Yakumo enters the world of rakugo. He forms a friendship with talented storyteller Yurakutei. Yakumo admires Yurakutei’s talent and struggles to achieve his level of performance. With the help of geisha Miyokichi, Yakumo grows up as a rakugo storyteller. Yurakutei and Miyokichi get married, but they die in a mysterious accident. Yakumo takes Konatsu, who is the child of Yurakutei and Miyokichi, and raises her. Konatsu grows up blaming Yakumo as her parents’ enemy. Konatsu and Yakumo’s disciple Yotaro chases after the truth of her parents’ death, which Yakumo hides.

Set in the Edo period, Kanou Toshu studied medicine in Nagasaki and lives on the outskirts of Senju-juku . He is also a master of the Mugai Ryu sword style. Although he has skills in medicine, he is also a big drinker and often drinks all day and falls asleep, or drinks at night and does not go home. He does not charge for treatment and medicine costs from poor patients such as tradesmen and farmers, but occasionally he'll buy their produce or drink with them. When he senses injustice by the rich and powerful, he takes matters into his own hands and doles out justice as he sees fit.

Ti lascio una canzone is an Italian musical variety show TV show that includes a competition between the most beloved songs in the history of Italian pop music. The songs, which represent the true stars of the show, are “golden oldies”. They are symbolically “left” for us, in what amounts to a musical heritage, to be interpreted by the singers of tomorrow, in order to ensure that the melodies and lyrics which have provided the background music to past generations are not lost. The songs are performed by young singing talents, who interpret the best loved songs of Italian pop music during each broadcast. Italian and international singing guests become part of “story” of the evening’s broadcast, enlarging the musical panorama covered by that particular episode. Shang-a-Lang (en)

Shang-a-Lang was a children's pop music TV series starring the Scottish band, the Bay City Rollers. It was produced in Manchester by Granada Television for the ITV network and ran for one 20-week series in 1975. It featured the band in a number of comedy sketches and performing their songs to a live studio audience made up of their teenage fans. This resulted in chaotic scenes at times as some members of the audience attempted to run onto the studio floor to meet their heroes, resulting in security officers having to forcibly restain or even eject them from the studio. The show's theme song "Shang-a-Lang", was a hit single for the group, peaking at number 2 in 1974 in the UK.

Darna is a Philippine drama/fantasy series adapted from Mars Ravelo's fictional superheroine of the same name; directed by Dominic Zapata and Don Michael Perez and developed by Jun Lana. It is the third series based on the Darna graphic novels by Mars Ravelo. It stars Marian Rivera as the title role and her alter-ego Narda, with Iwa Moto as her main nemesis Valentina, also starring Dennis Trillo as Pancho and Mark Anthony Fernandez as Eduardo. The series had premiered on August 10, 2009 on GMA Network and ended on February 19, 2010, and also featured the return of the other four villains originally created by Ravelo himself. The first season consists of 70 episodes, as well as the second season, with 140 episodes all in all.
