Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan is the fifth season in Toei Company's Super Sentai tokusatsu television series. It was broadcast from February 7, 1981, to January 30, 1982, and is the only Super Sentai series to serve as a direct sequel to its previous series and the only all-male Super Sentai team. Its international English title as listed by Toei is simply Sun Vulcan. This was the last Sentai season to be co-produced with Marvel Comics.

Glitter (en)

Glitter is an American television drama series broadcast by the ABC network during the 1984-1985 season. The series was produced by Aaron Spelling and was set behind the scenes of a top entertainment magazine titled "Glitter" and attempted to combine the urgency of journalism and business politics with the glamorous lifestyles of the rich and famous featured in the pages of the magazine. The leading cast members were David Birney, Morgan Brittany and Arthur Hill. The format of the series was similar to two other popular ABC shows which were also produced by Aaron Spelling; The Love Boat and Hotel, in that each week it heavily featured high profile guest appearances from famous celebrities, such as Ginger Rogers and Cyd Charisse. Unlike the other series, Glitter was not a ratings success. The first three episodes aired in September 1984, and then the show was taken off the air until December 1984 when three more episodes were shown. Ratings did not improve and the series was cancelled. The remaining eight episodes were shown during December 1985 as part of ABCs late-night lineup. Despite its lack of success in the US, Glitter was sold abroad. It was shown in the UK on BBC1 in the summer of 1985.

The somewhat peculiar Hotta family runs Tokyo Bandwagon, a secondhand bookstore and cafe in the old part of Tokyo. They are a big four-generation family that is rare these days. The Hottas live by rather unusual family rules, and solve strange incidents that arise in the old town. 26-year-old Ao is the family’s second son, and a freelance tour guide. Although he is the child of his father’s mistress, he has been raised as the second son without prejudice. Ao is an irresistible playboy to females due to the gap between his frivolous behaviour and occasional melancholic expressions, but then he encounters university student Makino Suzumi and falls deeply in love with her.

Hasret makes her living by selling flowers and occasionally singing in a band. Murat hears potential in her untrained voice and takes it upon himself to teach her the secrets of music by giving her a classical training.

The show premiered on the music videos network Telehit on November 21, 2001, as a sketch into the variety show Válvula de Escape. The show revolves around a series of parodying Mexican culture, sexuality and politics performed by a large and varying cast of repertory and newer cast members. The TV show followed a format similar to the famous American show Saturday Night Live with each episode approximately 25 minutes in length and containing an average of five sketches per episode. The show included several transgender actors, who interpret female characters.
