Who Dares Wins (en)
Who Dares Wins was a British television comedy sketch show broadcast between 1983 and 1988, featuring Jimmy Mulville, Rory McGrath, Philip Pope, Julia Hills and Tony Robinson. It was one of the first TV outlets for alternative comedy and was broadcast by Channel 4 late at night in a first attempt at "Post-Pub television". It was eventually aired by the Playboy Channel in cable television outlets in the United States. The show's title is also the motto of the British Special Air Service regiment, whose badge featured in the title sequence, and was often supplemented by a subtitle, e.g., "a week in Benidorm". Mulville, McGrath and Pope had all contributed material to Not the Nine O'Clock News. Other script material was provided by Not the Nine O'Clock News regulars Colin Bostock-Smith and Andy Hamilton as well as alternative comedy writer Tony Sarchet. The series established Mulville's Hat Trick Productions as a producer of comedy material for Channel 4. The show was recorded at the former independent production facility Limehouse Studios, on a soundstage in front of a live audience.

It is early summer in 2020 at a time when social interaction is restricted and many people are spending time at home. Six people living in an apartment building meet and find themselves relating to each other. Two of them are a couple who have been married for three years – Takiguchi Miwa, a magazine editor who works from home, and her husband Akira, a video producer. They look forward to each day despite the changes in their lives. Akira’s daily routine is to watch the videos of a popular trio on NewTube. The three members actually live on the same floor of the apartment building. Asano Chiaki, a young photographer who lives next door, lost his job due to the coronavirus. He has been spending his days taking photos from the rooftop or verandah, capturing beauty amid the mundane daily life. One day, when he steps out onto the verandah, he sees Miwa watering her flowers on the verandah next door and is attracted to her.

Taxi Orange (en)
Taxi Orange was an alternative to the Big Brother reality soap, and it was quite popular in Austria. It was aired by the public television channel ORF. The idea was to lock up a group of people in a closed environment, who were allowed to leave only in an orange taxi driving passengers around, so they were still able to interact with the world outside. The habitat and the taxi interior were videotaped and used to produce a 30-minute daily summary, which was presented to the viewers. Each week, viewers elected a winner who had to decide on the exclusion of one colleague. The winner got 1 million Schilling. Two seasons were produced.
