Every episode begins with the skit of the comedy trio "Macbeth" and as the title suggests, the opening conte* is connected as an important hint to the rest of the episode's story. Nang’ek is an out of luck, poor, orphan girl raised by her money-hungry foster mom, who has a spoiled brat daughter. Though they treat her as an ATM machine, she refuses to abandon her makeshift, foster family because she feels indebted to them. Soon after her mother passed away so did her father, her foster mother took her in when she had no one to turn to. She feels a moral obligation to her evil foster mom who on many occasions will abuse and take advantage of her.

The show takes place in a Japanese school where everything is normal, except for students from what are called "specified races." The specified races are based on yōkai from Japanese mythology; for example, one student on the swim team is a kappa, while another, a nurikabe, merges with walls and is popular in the summertime for having a very cool temperature.

The Bronx Bunny Show is an Irish ten-part series originally broadcast in 2003 on E4 in the United Kingdom and later in Ireland. It was an adult puppet interview show which followed the premise of a semi-educational show for the good people of the Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan. The show was produced from a run-down tenement building in the Bronx where Bronx Bunny and his sidekick, a cigarette-smoking panda named Teddy T, would interview celebrities who "done good". The Bronx Bunny Show won "Best Entertainment Show" IFTA Award in 2003. The show was broadcast sporadically on E4 and eventually on Channel 4. The series gained a cult following as it featured interviews with guests such as Hugh Hefner, Jessica Alba, William Shatner, and Larry Flynt. The show was created by Double Z Enterprises, an Irish production company behind such characters as Zig and Zag and Podge and Rodge.
