The program followed the daily lives of five Lebanese-American Shia Muslims families in Dearborn, Michigan, the largest Muslim community in the United States. All-American Muslim premiered on November 13, 2011 on TLC. TLC canceled All-American Muslim after one season, citing low ratings.
