Overview:
After losing his fortune, the Marquis de Monfort lives in the back cabin of his old castle, thanks to the charity of the current owner, Camillo, a former servant of his. After the death of his son Pierre in the war, Camillo returns the goods to de Marquis, due to the paternal love he feels for his daughter, Pervanche. Years later, Pierre turns out to be alive and appears at the castle demanding his inheritance from the young woman. The discussion is settled when they get married.

A psychological study of the effects of drug addiction on humanity. Helene Ford has been injected with heroin by an unscrupulous physician, causing her to act irrationally. Her husband Stephen, a noted artist, hires a model whom Helene, inflamed by their friend Jack Murray, suspects of having an affair with Stephen. The model is also addicted to drugs and convinces Stephen to try heroin to forget his troubles. Both Stephen and Helene then become addicted to drugs. They abandon their home and then separate, after which Stephen resorts to crime to support his heroin addiction. During an escape from the police after a robbery, Stephen encounters Helene again, this time near death. She sacrifices her own life to shield her husband, but Stephen and his former model plunge to their deaths.

She meets with enormous success, but Brunel demands she submit to his advances as the price he demands for making her a star which she refuses. Desperate, she claims an unidentified body at the morgue and tells a reporter that this is her lover, unaware that the body is that of a Chinese man. The absent-minded reporter sees her heart and forgets about the big story. After further disappointments in the invention, Minnie's stepmother decides to leave her father. Her father then has a success and becomes rich. At a celebration, the stepsister and townspeople are surprised when a new couple appear, which turn out to be the former reporter and his lovely wife Minnie.

Dorothy accuses Mavis of the theft, but she is cleared by Steve, resulting in Herbert's arrest.

The relief he shows convinces her that their "invisible bond" is intact, and they reconcile.
