After few years Raja falls in love with one of his colleague in college without knowing that she is Subbaramayya's daughter, her name is Varalaxmi. But their love was not accepted neither by Laxmi's brother Hari nor by Govindayya. Rest of the film is all about how Raja struggles to marry Lakshmi with creating relationship between both the families.

In the end, he decides to take justice into his own hands, leading to a tragic ending where the inspector, fulfilling his duty, stops Ajaya. Chunauti is a story of love, courage, and sacrifice in the face of injustice.
