Kitna is an upcoming Indian Tamil drama film written and directed by Samuthirakani. The film will be simultaneously made in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Punnagai is a story of five friends Satya(Gemini Ganesan), Rajan(Muthuraman), Haniff who studied in the same college, while graduating they took an oath in front of Gandhi's statue saying they will always stand with truth. But later they got split as Haniff dies in a car accident and each of them got settled in their profession where they have to cheat their profession and principles. The story begins with three different stories (plots) where as the one friend (Nagesh)out of four explains the story. Will they follow Gandhi's principles ?

Located in the backwaters of a dam, Sita Parvata is an island slowly submerging due to the rains. The government succeeds in evacuating the residents by giving them compensation for the properties they own. The village temple priest Duggajja, his son Ganapa, and his daughter-in-law Nagi find it impossible to leave their homeland and make a living with the meager compensation given by the government. On the island, they are important people, but outside, they would be one among hundreds of families struggling to make a living. The film narrates the struggles of the family and how ultimately in the end they manage to continue life on the island.
