Unfortunately Gilles has fallen for Florence the daughter of the conservative Prime Minister and his wife. When the Prime Minister tries to shut down the brothel Gilles decides to stand against him in the election.

The documentary DNA Dreams features a new generation of scientists at BGI, China’s leading genomics research institute. The film follows eighteen-year-old Zhao Bowen, who wants to find the genetic basis of intelligence by analysing the DNA of 2,000 highly gifted children. At BGI’s cloning lab, twenty-five-year-old Lin Lin produces pigs in all shapes and forms. Deeply in love with her work, she feels ‘like a mother’ to the piglets that are conceived under her microscope.

Another short was 3 American LPs, which was the first film I did with Peter Handke. It was a film about American music, about three pieces of three LPs. There was a song by Van Morrison, another by Harvey Mandel, and one of Credence Clearwater Revival. It was mainly the music and some shots out of a car, landscapes out of the car window. And it had a little bit of commentary – dialogue between Peter and me about American music and about how American rock music was about emotion and images instead of sounds. That is to say, about a kind of phenomenon, that it was in a way a kind of film music, but without a moving picture. It was a 12-minute film and it was never shown. – Wim Wenders

After rescuing the diamond-collared pooch of a wealthy socialite (Carol Higgins Clark), the two heroines set off with their spouses to join Regan's mom, Nora Reilly (Colleen Winton), a world famous mystery writer, on a luxurious three day cruise around the San Juan Island off the coast of Washington. The cruise serves as the setting for a mystery game created to promote the release of Nora's latest book. As the boat calmly sets sail, everyone is enjoying getting into character, especially Alvirah, who may or may not be the games "murderess." But troubled waters lie ahead when Alvirah gets a hunch that a real killer may be on board and, together with Regan, the pair teams up to solve the high seas whodunnit.
