Composed of seven works, Lion is a series of films created on 16mm and hand processed with darkroom techniques that mimic the effects of radiation on film. Researched in Chernobyl, the series is a product of memories, history, pop culture and technical experiments to create visual representations of invisible forces.

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. Lars Chr. Bentsen is a Master Casting Instructor in the Federation of Fly Fishers, and he is internationally recognized for his skills in teaching fly casting. The film is about fly casting with a single-handed rod. Here in the film, he demonstrates the spey cast, five different presentation casts, how to fish with a shooting head, and we go through examples of casting in different wind directions. We see how Lars adjusts his shooting heads and how you can make loops on a shooting head or fly line yourself. Lars Chr. Bentsen also demonstrates the most common casting mistakes. We then see exactly where the mistake is and how to correct it. This section is valuable for many fly fishermen.

With underwater cameras, we see incredible footage of trout that hug the streamer, and we see the fish reactions to our flies - up close - underwater. He's known for his innovative fly tying techniques that are both simple and effective. In tying the film, he shows exactly how he ties streamers and surface flies. Most flies are his own effective patterns.

We have traveled to various fantastic fishing waters in order to find the best ways to show fly fishing with nymph. In the film, together with Morten Oeland that shows how he fishes in the many different fishing situations we experience. We see the natural nymphs on quite closely, and Morten shows practically fly fishing with his best imitation of these nymphs. As in the other films , we have located underwater cameras in the fishing areas while we fish , and we get new insight into the movements of the fish when we thus come under the surface.
