Alonzo grapples with his parent's separation, as well as his own personal feelings about himself. This reality tears him apart, depicting how the seriously the many moving parts of one's life can affect them. In the end, Alonzo resorts to taking his own life, leaving behind his unacquainted friends to question if their actions had a direct affect, and later having to accept that this is their new reality. The two friends, Jeremy and Luca, are different, yet are united through their mutual friendship with Alonzo. The story is told through fragmented memories of Alonzo from the two friend's perspectives as they try to find acceptance amidst the loss of their friend.
