Borland was best known as the lead singer of The Sound, but was involved in various music projects in his 41 years of life, notably The Outsider's, Second Layer, Adrian Borland and The Citizens and many more. Borland suffered with schizoid Affective disorder causing many mental health issues in his life and career. Adrian tragically ended his own life at Wimbledon station in 1999.
