Overview:
A portrait of the city of São Paulo through the life of four of its inhabitants: an economist and analyst of the financial market, a metallurgist who works at Volkswagen, a motorcycle courier and a railway worker. Each character calls attention to one aspect of the economy in a period of social tension: the three weeks before the start of the World Cup. Observing the daily life of the characters, Future June aims to reflect on this historical moment and on the ways that the current economic model determines social and human relations.

These portraits are interwoven with the story of Elpi, a Greek woman who is waiting for the long overdue visit of an old important friend. The outcome of this mixture is a film which captures the lives and perspectives of some of Wrangelkiez’s most commanding citizens, while at the same time evoking the loss that change and time passing means for places and for people.

The malady now has a name, chronic fatigue syndrome, and filmmaker Kim Snyder, who suffered from the disease for several years, tells her story and talks to victims and their families, and to physicians and researchers: is it viral, it is psychosomatic, is it one disease or several (a syndrome) ; what's the CDC doing about it; what's it like to have a disease that's not yet understood? Her inquiry takes her to Punta Gorda and to a high-school graduation.
