Using original colour archive film - much of which had never previously been seen - together with personal letters and diary extracts helping to capture the many complexities and contradictions of life in the British Empire.

The series is based on the play of the same name by Walter Van de Velde, which was first performed by the Traveling People's Theater in 1987.
Fall in Love (zh)
Fu Zeyi, a charismatic but aloof heir to Fu's Anju Group, develops a second personality, "Ge Lin," as a result of childhood trauma. Unlike Fu Zeyi, Ge Lin is melancholic, loves playing the violin, and harbors feelings for Jing Zhixia. When Fu Zeyi reunites with Jing Zhixia, Ge Lin's consciousness begins to resurface. Using brief moments of control over Fu Zeyi's body, Ge Lin helps Jing Zhixia through her struggles, only to realize she is falling for Fu Zeyi instead.

Stars Justin Fletcher and Sarah-Jane Honeywell play cohabiting friends whose eccentric exploits at home are the subject of the show; though aimed at young children, the comedy is at times Laurel and Hardy-esque. Normally shown as part of Tikkabilla, at weekends it is shown as a standalone show.
