Our story begins with Junior Detective LIN, who has just been put in charge of a case that appears to be a suicide. Most curiously, the crime scene has many features in common with a scene from a Sherlock Holmes novel. Detective Lin quickly discovers that it is a murder case. Meanwhile, a group of young sleuths supports their detective club president GAO’s dream to win a writing contest. The three club members, psychologist ZHONG, social worker WEN, and pharmacist ZHANG, each harbor a hidden secret. GAO could never have expected that he would become implicated as the killer in an actual murder case! As Detective LIN delves deeper into his case, a series of seemingly unrelated events all end up pointing towards the club members.

He leads a mundane existence among his classmates, all of whom are struggling with their own issues. There's the popular guy with secret hang-ups, the boy who can't afford the tuition, the girl with bulimia and the pathologically shy kid. The teachers don't fare much better. The high school is a microcosm of our troubled modern society. One day Fukai stumbles across a mysterious and attractive new girl in school, Q10, whom he soon finds out is actually a robot. Assigned by the principal to be her mentor and told to keep her true identity a secret, Fukai tries to teach Q10 about human feelings. In the process, he becomes aware of his own complex, emotional makeup. Fukai realizes that he is learning about life from an android, and that he may be falling in love with her.

Arthur Godfrey and His Friends (en)

Arthur Godfrey and His Friends is an American television variety show hosted by Arthur Godfrey. The hour-long series aired on CBS Television from January 1949 to June 1957, then again as a half-hour show from September 1958 to April 1959. Many of Godfrey's musical acts were culled from Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, which was airing on CBS at the same time. Among the more popular of his singers were Frank Parker, Marion Marlowe, Janette Davis, Julius La Rosa, Haleloke, The McGuire Sisters, Carmel Quinn, Pat Boone, Miyoshi Umeki and The Chordettes. The show was live, and Godfrey often did away with the script and improvised. He refused to participate in commercials for products he did not believe in.
