Introducing Made Back East, a natively New England ski film. A Vagrants original, in partnership with Parlor Skis and presented by Life is Good, that explores a love affair with backcountry skiing. The ski community refers to our home as “back east”. Assuming that anybody who grew up skiing here would eventually find their way out West. But to us, that assumes too much. The mark of a true New England skier is a deep appreciation for the bad days just as much as the good ones. As they say “if you can ski the northeast, you can ski anywhere”. In this film, we follow six diehard skiers on a trip into the woods seeking that perfect window where everything comes together.

High Fly Summits(en)

In 2004, the French Soulflyer team of Loic Jean-Albert, Val Montant and Pierre Desmet aimed to fly over many of the planet's emblematic summits. The rides in this film combine snow, mountains and high altitude with BASE jumping, wing suits, skydiving, and skiing – on Mont Blanc on the French-Italian border, and on Mount Fuji in Japan.

Toy Soldier Productions spent the 2010/2011 winter exploring the Northwestern United States with some of the best up-and-coming talent in the ski & snowboard world. Each found themselves growing into their style, their terrain, and a mindset laid down with the snowfall. Though differing in their aims, they’ve found themselves on a similar path, brought together by the winter and her storms. “Set Your Sights” chronicles this journey. Freeride World Tour snowboarder Timm Schröder (a.k.a. Timmy Shredder) and ski pro Dino Flatz, with a lot of winks, show why it's much more fun to tackle the mountains together, despite using different equipment. The film brings a sense of fun, powder, and friendship. A true fun movie set in Arlberg and Zillertal, it takes nothing seriously – except the alpine dangers of freeriding. Add to that a great hip-hop soundtrack with custom tracks by rapper "Doomaniac," created specifically for the film.

All in a Dream: A Film by Danny Davis(en)

Danny Davis, a gifted snowboarder with a knack for riding halfpipe, thinks he has seen it all; from contest podiums on the world stage to backcountry trips in both hemispheres, he has quite literally been living a dream. But it hasn’t been without sacrifice. With what is likely his last Olympic competition at stake, his season plans are thrown into chaos after a devastating crash. During what seems like a routine visit to the hospital, an unusually familiar nurse and an MRI scan send Danny on a strange trip down memory lane. What starts as a pilgrimage to the powder fields of British Columbia, quickly turns into a road trip through Danny’s own mind as he revisits his humble beginnings, past injuries, friendly faces and inner demons. Joined by fellow snowboarders Mark McMorris, Ben Ferguson, Scotty Lago, Mikkel Bang, Nick Russell and more, Danny is forced to face his biggest challenge to date, himself.
