The pretty girl holding a peace sign in the photo is the girl he starts following. The boy is run over by a car because he was so distracted by the photo. In the end, the girl in the photo disappears as she is a ghost and the peace sign she was holding in the photo changes to her holding three fingers up, as the hand was never making a peace sign but showing a count.

The title alludes to Denmark’s Law no. 533 of April 29 2015, originating with the Social Democrats, which prohibits sexual conduct between humans and animals (with a few exceptions, such as artificial insemination). The video, however, does not preoccupy itself with “animal sex”, but with mankind’s in a general sense erotic relationship to animals, which appears to play a considerable motivating part in such prohibitions. The found footage and still images, of which the video consists, shows the animal as it is: seen at second hand.

SubBerlin - Underground United(de)

The original Tresor was in many ways the quintessential Berlin club: located in an unrenovated vault beneath a bombed out department store, it opened its doors amidst the general confusion and ecstasy that swept across the city when the wall fell. A collectively made filmic opera in 35 parts. The Black and predominantly queer art collective, an evolving line up of poets and artists from across the world, abstracts and reimagines opera in any traditional conception. Set to hip-hop, blues, noise, R&B and electronica, the piece uses the voice (chanting, singing, screaming; written by poet and activist Dawn Lundy Martin) as its primary tool, verbalising centuries of alienation, vulnerability and protest in the global African diaspora through its disruptive libretto.
