Palestine, under the rule of Rome. Salome, daughter of Herodias and both niece and stepdaughter of King Herod, becomes infatuated with the prophet John the Baptist, who publicly denounces the depravity of the royal family and proclaims the arrival of a new messiah. (Film presumed lost.)

Wolfe or the Conquest of Quebec(en)

General Wolfe, appointed commander of the expedition against Quebec, comes to bid his mother goodbye. Before sailing, the general calls upon his sweetheart, Katherine Lowther. She presents him with a locket containing a miniature of herself. Wolfe places the jewel on a chain about his neck. Mignon Mars and her brother, Hubert, of a Canadian family, are captured by a body of men attached to the Royal Americans. Lieutenant Arleigh, the officer in charge, secures their release. Mignon loses her heart to the young officer. General Montcalm arrives at Quebec and takes command of the French forces.

A Roman gladiator marries a shepherdess, who is horrified by his brutality in the arena, until he is moved by the Christian evangelism of Paul.

The Royal Oak(en)

King Charles flees and hides in a huge oak tree when the troops loyal to Oliver Cromwell close in. The royal entourage is disguised, and the king's sweetheart masquerades as Charles. Only when she is brought before Cromwell is it discovered the switch has been made.

O Kaiser(xx)

Kaiser is a short animated film, directed by the cartoonist Álvaro Marins, the Seth, in 1917. It is considered the first cartoon produced in Brazil.

Britton of the Seventh(en)

In 1876, Lt. Tony Britton of the 7th Cavalry is in love with pretty young Barbara Manning, but the wife of his superior, Capt. Granson, is in love with him and begs him to run away with her. Britton refuses, but is soon sent to arrest Sioux chief Rain-in-the-Face, who has murdered two soldiers from the 7th. He captures his quarry and carts him off to jail, infuriating the local Indians. When Capt. Granson learns of his wife's infatuation with Britton, he makes trouble for Britton, who is soon forced to resign his commission. He signs up as an army scout, and learns that the Indians are planning to attack and massacre the 7th under the command of Col. George Armstrong Custer. Can he get to Custer in time to warn him of the impending attack, and will he--a disgraced army officer--be believed?

The Hidden Children(en)

In accordance with an Iroquois custom, two women unknown to each other decide to make their babies "hidden children" by giving them to Native American foster-parents until they reach maturity. A boy and a girl are thus raised within the Iroquois community. Upon learning of their true heritage and the custom's purpose, they return to their original people. They are then expected to marry each other to bring a fresh spirit into the tribe.

When Broadway Was a Trail(en)

Henry Minuet, son of the governor of New Amsterdam, travels to Danvers, now Salem, Mass., to buy grain for the struggling colony. He sees Priscilla Elliott, the daughter of Danvers' physician, and it’s love at first sight even though they do not speak the same language. Priscilla is pursued by Momma’s boy Salvation Hibbens, but she likes him not. When her father dies unexpectedly, Salvation's mother tried to force her to marry Salvation even going as far as to accuse the pair of witchcraft. The lovers flee but can’t return to Henry’s town either since his parents have a marriage arranged for him too. They strike out on their own path to a happy future.

The Life of George Washington(en)

A two-part silent movie, with the first part focusing on Washington's early life and French and Indian War experiences as a British colonial officer (Washington Under the British Flag), starring Joseph Kilgour, and the second part (Washington Under the American Flag) continuing his story through the Revolution and presidency, portraying his journey from surveyor to commander and first president, aiming to educate audiences on America's founding father.

Presents Lincoln's difficulties with Gen. McClellan and Secretary of State Seward, over the selection of a commander of the Army of the Potomac. Lincoln asserts his leadership and appoints Gen. Grant.

The Mutiny of the Bounty(en)

The Mutiny of the Bounty is a 1916 Australian-New Zealand silent film directed by Raymond Longford about the mutiny aboard HMS Bounty. It is the first known cinematic dramatization of this story and is considered a lost film. Longford claimed it was the first Australian film to shoot scenes at sea.
