6.8The tour for "Zorg dat je erbij komt" was completely sold out. For three shows at the Meervaart, more than 150,000 people wanted tickets in just one weekend!
4.2In his eighth show the Dutch comedian Hans Sibbel aka Lebbis looks for the interest that people have in their clarity and truth, and then kicks dents in it. Show recorded in the open air in the summer of 2013.
After his performance in 1961, he never wanted to do a tv show. It was a strange thing to know that millions of people were watching him on tv instead of going to the theatre and buying a ticket. But luckily he decided to do another performance for tv included, reaching 94% of the public
6.9Registration of the sixt theatre program by the Dutch comedian Theo Maassen.
6.5Wim Helsen Heden Soup! HOMELESS, KINGS, SAINTS AND COLD WATER FISHING: They all eat soup. Also mistresses love soup. They eat them with spoons, some dip bread in it or slurp on the edge of their soup bowl. One can of doing anything. Tomatoes, leeks, pumpkins, chicken. But loving thoughts, secret messages and mushrooms are allowed. And say nothing of balls. In mysterious faraway places there that make soup from nettles. Dogs bark for soup. One gets it warm from the inside (in his body).
8.0If you're feeling down and you don't really know why. If you want to have a good laugh. If you don't understand much about the world, and even less about people. If you don't get what you think you deserve because they don't see you, the idiots. If you can count on one hand the number of times you've felt free and carefree in the past year. If you want to smash things but don't dare.
8.0In the show, Jochem talks about his love for nature. Jochem: 'If you're going to talk about something four hundred times, you have to choose something you really want to talk about. Jokes are fun, but I want to talk about things that interest me. My three big hobbies are fishing, theater, and birds. The book De Gorgels is also about nature. I've already incorporated my passion for biology into it, and now I want to show that on stage as well.
8.0Inspired by a fan, TV satirist Arjen Lubach makes the move from the news desk to the stand-up stage to share his search for life’s secrets. Plus, music!
6.8Youp recently found his fifty year old wigwam, which made him - when he was little - delighted.
0.0An absurdist theatre piece by Dutch comedy duo Rundfunk. A collection of original sketches and songs.
5.9Teeuwens fifth stand-up show is about love. Small, large, hidden, the physical, the famous and the improper love. Hans Teeuwen unravels that love into forms that you do not recognize, but can very surely sense.
6.3Back in 2003, Alex Agnew was the first Belgian to win the prestigious 'Leids Cabaret Festival' in The Netherlands. He was the winner in both categories: Jury and public. Alex is a mixture of an English father, Belgian mother, an overdoses (action) movies, superheroes, comic books and a lot of music. No quiet, sophisticated humour, but proud to be loud! Rock'n'Roll comedy!
7.1Maassen won two of the biggest comedy contests in the Netherlands in 1990, the Groninger Studenten Cabaret Festival(GSCF), and Cameretten. The GSCF jury was not pleased with the quality of the contestants that year, and gave Maassen the first prize, remarking he was the best of the year, but still not very good. In the following years, however, Maassen fame grew steadily, especially amongst students. Maassens style was based on stand-up comedy: Alone on stage, telling jokes and stories to amuse the public, without any musical support (a thing common for most Dutch comedians up to that point). Since 2000, Maassens shows are shown on Dutch national television, making him more and more a household name.
6.5The perfect way to get acquainted with Philippe Geubels' infectious humor or to relive a wonderful evening of live stand-up comedy.
