The hypnotist uses a feather to to hypnotize him, but doesn't turn it off properly, so Polidor goes into a trance on sighting anything with feathers. This means that he leans over in an impossible looking pose, and walks on.

Max starts out at a costume store to get a costume for a party. He sees a suit of armor and purchases it. He wears it to the party and gets kind of drunk and passes out.
