Ten-year-old Lucas, the middle child of a wealthy family, lives in an expensive neighborhood in a large house, equipped with every luxury. Everything changes completely when Lucas, while searching for his Sinterklaas surprise, finds a large box of unpaid bills. Father Maarten turns out to have enormous financial problems and the family loses everything. The family is evicted and, with the help of their cleaner Nina, finds shelter in an old office building among other new poor people. While father (Jeroen Spitzenberger) and mother (Hadewych Minis) have a hard time with themselves and each other, and big brother Thomas (15) and sister Emma (7) have a terrible time getting used to the new situation, Lucas tries to make the best of it with the highest goal: a Merry Christmas for the whole family.

CBC News: Morning was a Canadian breakfast television show which aired live on CBC Television from 6-7 a.m. ET and CBC Newsworld from 6-10 a.m. ET. It was not available over-the-air in the Atlantic and Newfoundland Time Zones. The show was hosted by Heather Hiscox along with Colleen Jones who presented weather and sports news, Harry Forestell with international news and Danielle Bochove with business news. The program was absorbed into CBC News Now when CBC Newsworld was re-branded itself as CBC News Network in October 2009. Hiscox continues to host from 6-9 a.m., and CBC Television continues to simulcast the 6:00 a.m. hour in regions west of Atlantic Canada.

At that time, she happens to meet writer Joon-Ki (Jung Eun-Woo). Sun-Joo is attracted to Joon-Ki. They kiss on the first day they meet. After the kiss, Joon-Ki suggests that they go see the morning sea together. Sun-Joo accepts, but when gets to the car she finds Joon-Ki's friend Dong-Soo (Lee Joo-Seung) in the car. As the sun rises, Joon-Ki acts strange. Sun-Joo becomes frightened by his weird behavior and Dong-Soo also makes her uncomfortable. Sun-Joo wants to go back to Seoul, but they go to see Joon-Ki's friend in Gangneung. To get away from them, Sun-Joo contacts her friend Myoung-Hee (Song Min-Ji) who lives also in Gangneung. Sun-Joo finally gets to Myoung-Hee’s house, but Sun-Joo doesn't know there is a monster more strange than anyone else in Myoung-Hee's home.
