Last winter, it wasn’t hard finding the soul across twelve small, independent resorts in North America. These mountains had more rich character and stories to tell than we could've ever imagined possible. Finally, we are here to share that with you. Produced in partnership with Indy Pass, Filson, and Entabeni Systems, In Pursuit of Soul brings you to Wyoming's Snow King, Maine's Saddleback and Black Mountain, Washington's Mission Ridge and 49° North Mountain Resort, Vermont's Magic Mountain and Bolton Valley, Idaho's Lost Trail and Brundage Mountain, New Hampshire's Cannon Mountain, Massachusetts' Berkshire East Mountain Resort, and Utah's Beaver Mountain.

Twenty five years after unleashing the ski film Blizzard Of Aahhh's Greg Stump returns to the ski film genre with Legend Of Aahhh's. Through a semi-autobiographical approach, Greg explores the history of the ski film and how these films influenced big mountain skiing and pop culture with the birth of the extreme sports movement following the release of Blizzard Of Aahhh's in 1988. And Glen Plake and Scot Scmidt's pivotal appearance on NBC's Today Show where the word and concept of "extreme" exploded into the consciousness of mainstream America. From Leni Riefenstahl in the 1930's (who made the first ski film) through Otto Lang, John Jay, Warren Miller and what the young ski film makers are creating today, "Legend" follows the life of the ski film and impact on big mountain skiing.

The pictorial image and the dark and dreamlike atmosphere transforms the space into something unreal, imprecise, converting it also in a spectral presence.

Valentine Fabre and Hillary Gerardi, two high-level complete athletes, take on the challenge of establishing the first female record on the non-stop Haute-Route, a legendary ski mountaineering endurance race linking Chamonix to Zermatt in 100km and 8000m altitude difference. A feat that the two women take on, as much for personal reasons as for the representation they offer by achieving this great female first.

About an hour's drive from Salt Lake City, Utah is the ski resort of Alta, a former mining town, nestled within the Wasatch Mountains. Skiing and other winter alpine pursuits take place well into mid-spring. The relatively new ski lift is one of the longest in the western US. Some ride the lift not to ski down but to glance at the view from the 1,500 foot summit. Being the end of May, people at nearby Salt Lake are instead enjoying more summerly pursuits, such as boating. Behind only the Dead Sea, it ranks second among all large inland lakes for the saline content at 27%, the buoyancy from which makes it almost impossible to sink in. On shore at Black Rock Beach of the Bonneville Salt Flats is the site of many attempts of land speed records, most records held by Ab Jenkins. Another popular activity in the lake itself is the crystallization of salt around wire forms, the process which requires relatively still water and takes about two hours.
