Ultimately he also rediscovers hope through a plan to adopt Kaki, bring him home and make him part of his family

With the living man claiming to be dead she experiences a spectrum of previously unknown emotions and feelings. She puts her existence on stake to make this man alive again and discover new horizons.

And of course even in this small imaginary world, true good exists as does real evil, which Kooky must face up to in order to become a real hero.
