Main Chup Rahungi(1962)
When Kamal Kumar meets the young, beautiful Gayatri on a train he instantly falls in love, and despite the fact that he is the son of a wealthy landowner, Rattan Kumar, and she the daughter of a farmer, Narayan, he convinces her to marry him. But when Kamal has to go to Singapore for business, his father finds out about the wedding and makes Gayatri swear she will never reveal her relationship with Kamal to anyone. When Gayatri discovers she is pregnant with Kamal's child, she and her father are forced to leave the village.

Rajoo (Naseeruddin Shah) is an honest, naive, villager with a heart of gold. When he comes to the big city, he comes across a beautiful young girl, Sunayana (Rameshwari), who almost gets runover by a car. He assists her to her feet, and she tells him that she is blind, lives in a small tenement with a neighbourly woman everyone calls Maushi (Leela Mishra), and sell flowers for a living. Rajoo takes it upon himself to make arrangements to ensure that Sunayana can see again. Then Vijay's girlfriend, Sapna, finds evidence that it was someone else who was responsible for these killings. Vijay agrees to represent Abbas, find the real culprit(s), and ensure that the sentence is overturned. Before that could happen, Vijay is himself arrested for killing a woman by the name of Neena, thus making Abbas' hanging a certainty.
