Compilation of 18 animated short films made by Spanish-speaking artists from around the world for the Filmoteca Maldita Short Film Festival. This collection contains very diverse works, both in technical and thematic aspects, although they all share a genuine spirit of dedication and creativity.

AGUA FRÍA(es)

Ángel and Kimberly, two children affected by migration, turn a parked van into an imaginary vessel to go look for their friend Sofía, who returned to her homeland, Colombia. In this space between reality and fantasy, they build their sense of identity, belonging, and friendship amid uprooting.

AGUSTINA (30) reflects on the value of the time of those who hold a household together through care work and informal labor. Her journey leads her into the stories of ROSANA (62), who is unable to retire, and ZULMA (60), who was forced into debt to achieve it.

The movie tells about the relationship between young people who love each other. Young Mishka's family works on a construction site in Budapest, and on weekends they come home to their village on the Great Plain to relax and have fun. It is here that the young man meets Klari. He learns that Klari is his fellow villager, although she also works in Budapest. They arrange to meet the following weekend. Mishka is truly in love. Clarie is too, but she doesn't dare to admit to him that she has been unfaithful.

Naked Desire(ja)

Akane is a very chaste, very conservative nun who is the caretaker of Sabu, an elderly gentleman who is basically comatose. They live alone in a house on the beach, abandoned by Sabu's family who refused to care for him anymore. One day, Akane finds that there is an intruder in the house, Kayoko, who had escaped a depraved sexual encounter nearby with a couple of guys. As if things weren't crazy enough, another two random people show up at the door. Rine is a teacher that has run off with a student of hers, Shinji, and they are looking for a place to hide (and to do bad things to each other). Naked Desire follows these people as they try to survive together away from society, not knowing that detectives are in hot pursuit after Shinji is determined missing by his family. Akane must decide whether to stay true to her faith and remain pure, or give in to her ultimate desires like Kayoko, Rine and Shinji.
